"One of the great things about working with Jim and Orlando Construction was the communication. He let me know the status of things almost daily and we exchanged notes about things to watch for, what to expect, etc. It helped make my remodel less stressful. And I am very happy with the results."

The work they do is remarkable, honest in costs involved (even if you don't want to hear it) and looks out for his clients, no runarounds or vague estimates or answers. “I hardily endorse Jim Wilburn and Orlando Construction. Most recently, our company had the pleasure of working with Jim as the primary contractor on a product development project. Jim’s expertise in the general contracting arena has provided us both critical feedback on our products as well as a unique opportunity to learn more about how best to introduce our products into the residential & commercial markets. I would highly recommend Jim as an expert resource on most any construction project, small or large, without reservation.”

Jim: Thank you for the wonderful work you have completed for us. My grandmother especially loves the built-in shelves. They are perfect for her tiny room. We were so impressed with the fellow you had working here. Not only did he do excellent work, he was also very kind and considerate.
We will call you again when we think up something else to do. By the way, we're still interested in the fireplace conversion.
Thanks again, Matt and Sharon Tomich - Southwest Reno, Nevada |

Jim: When we started our remodel project, Ed and I had mixed feelings. We were excited about changing the look of our home, but we were not looking forward to the disruption that such a large project would undoubtedly entail. Having never been through a home remodel, I did not know what to expect and I was more than a little anxious. I contacted Orlando Construction Company after seeing your sign and set up an appointment. I was pleased at the immediate response to my call - something you have consistently done throughout this remodeling project.
When we first met, I was impressed at the amount of time you spent with us to explain what we could expect from you and the remodeling process. It was evident that you had the expertise we required for our project, and your good nature, personality and patience were icing on the cake. We did not need to look any further. Since the project began, you and your tradesmen have consistently shown professionalism, expertise and courtesy. Everyone has worked in a timely and workmanlike manner. As importantly, they do their work with as little disruption to our daily lives as possible.
As we continue through our project, questions arise and sometimes so does our stress level. Invariably, you respond with patience, understanding and sincere care for our concerns. As we near the end of this project, I actually look forward to coming home to see what new change has occured. The metamorphosis has been amazing! The cabinets and the granite tile are gorgeous. It's hard to believe this is my kitchen! I am anxiously anticipating the end result and appreciate your efforts in ensuring that we are happy with our home remodeling project. It has been a pleasure working with you and the staff at Orlando Construction.

Dear Jim:
Now that we have been in our new house for a while, we just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the design and building process. As I'm sure you know, designing and building a custom house can be a nerve-wracking experience. This is probably more true for working parents with little construction knowledge and with small children. However, with your assistance, the process turned out to be easier and more enjoyable than we expected.
Prior to starting the project, we had many concerns such as meeting our budget and out time frame. In fact, before talking with you, we were considering selling our lot due to our uncertainties. Once we talked with you and discussed our concerns, we were able to move forward with the idea that the project would be successful.
One of the things we enjoyed most about the project were the evening meetings at your office where we discussed the design and materials. With all of our busy schedules, this really worked well for us and the kids. The design/build process seemed to work well because it eliminated the problem of hiring an architect/designer and a builder who are not on the same page or budget. The amount of time from our first meeting until we broke ground was very short, especially considering most of the time was over the holidays.
As for the building process, we were suprised at how smooth the process went. When we originally talked about four to five months of construction time, this did not seem possible. Especially after all the construction delay stories we had heard about from friends prior to this project. Your particular attention to scheduling and work flow definitely contributed to finishing ahead of the already short building schedule.
Thanks again for your help. We would be glad to recommend your services to others who are considering building a custom house.
