Gundburg Residence

This 1910 Craftsman style home is located in NE Portland’s Sabin Neighborhood with a full unfinished basement that previously housed a workshop and laundry area.  Our clients decided to add valuable living space to their home by utilizing area within their existing home footprint.  We created a 510 square foot Entertainment/Play Room and the remainder became a Utility/Laundry Room.  Walls were framed, insulated and drywalled around the perimeter; the plumbing was updated; and electrical outlets, switches, recessed lights, Cable TV, and Telephone were installed throughout.  The basement has been converted into a lavish carpeted living space with two closets, a built-in TV/Bookcase area, and new windows.  The finish carpentry includes wide baseboards, raised panel doors, wood windowsills, and a beautiful new banister leading into the basement.

Centrone Residence

This 1988 Rowhouse is located in Southwest Portland’s Johns Landing neighborhood. The double-deep tandem garage was intended for future conversion to living space with rough plumbing already in place. With a baby on the way, our client decided to expand their living area to create a home office and guest bedroom with bathroom and large closet. We converted the rear half of the garage into a beautiful hallway, bedroom, bathroom, and storage closet to accommodate their growing family. We were able to re-use good lumber from demolition, Zero-VOC paint, eco-friendly laminate hardwood flooring, and porcelain tile to create a clean and toxin free indoor environment. A little care and consideration went a long way in achieving a high quality result within budget and on-time!
